The Michelangelo show at the Met is a conundrum. On the one hand, the work is for the most part so private. On the other hand, the show is a blockbuster, full to the brim with the kinds of people who go to big name museum shows.
Liana Finck is a cartoonist, illustrator, and regular contributor to The New Yorker, where she also writes the “Dear Pepper” advice-from-a-dog column. The author of eight books, her work also frequently appears in, among other publications, The New York Times, The Atlantic, New York magazine. She is the recipient of Fulbright, Guggenheim, and New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowships. She teaches creative writing at Barnard College.
